simple tasks

stop just right here.
startuxcode does have a learning curve.
keep this in mind before giving up.

startuxcodes' backoffice doesn't offer you any eye candy and stupid icons.
instead, it focus on what it matters and gives wings to your imagination using powerfull tools and features that will greatly reward you in the end.

  1.  article's advanced

    1. visual editor
If you're running the backoffice with microsoft™ internet explorer™, you can use the visual editor to edit/write articles (it is an activex control).
click in the articles list and then in article 65, our learning article.
now, as in fig. 9 of the precedent page, click in 1024x768.
you'll see the article in visual editor like this:

now you can edit or write an article using a toolbar just like if it was a word procossor like microsoft™ word or openoffice. when you finish, click the save button.

    2. writing your own articles
the process is the same for approving, except that in the backoffice you click in "journalists/articles/new".  just fill the form, change the status of the article, assign it a subject (topic), fill in the author box and save.
that's all, the article should now appear on the mainpage.

    3. if you have wvware installed, you can upload the contents of a microsoft™ word document into an article.
